The II Forest Forum and the Interregional Championship "LESORUB - 2018" in the Kirov region is a multi-format event, organized both for professionals and fans of the forest industry. During the event, several programs were organized.

1. Business program

Forest Forum

The main objective of this, which is being held for the second time, of the event is to continue the work on the sustainable development of the timber industry complex by joint efforts of the executive authorities, business and science. At the plenary sessions, participants discussed issues related to current problems of forest management in Russia, international experience in implementing principles of rational forest management, and improving the regulatory framework.

Kirovregionles Exhibition

It was first held in June 2014. The exhibition takes place in the open air on the main square of the city. The number of participants is growing every year; this year we managed to further expand the list of participants by inviting interested partners from neighboring regions to participate.

The exhibition "Kirovregionles" is more than 50 exhibitors-enterprises:

- these are 8 regions and 3 countries of the participant;

- these are over 500 presented machines and machine tools of the timber industry.

2. Competitive program

The interregional championship among fellers with chain saws and the competition of hydraulic manipulator operators “Lumberjack” has been held in the region for almost two decades.

As part of the competition, participants are invited to perform 4 exercises: replacing a chain, felling a tree, trunk trimming, log trimming for 10 churaks. According to the results of the competition, the winners are awarded with prizes and gifts from partners.

3. Interactive and concert program.

On the venue of the event works children's playground, food court, photo zones for everyone. Masters of the Kirov region show master classes in figure and art sawing wood. On the stage of the event are music and dance groups of the regions of Russia.

The event has no age limit, as the program includes

events for both the family audience and representatives of the forest industry sector.

Sights: The event takes place in the city center, in close proximity to the main monuments and cultural and historical sites. Significant places and facilities worthy of attention within walking distance: Drama Theater. CM. Kirov (st. Moskovskaya, d. 37), Vyatka art museum named after Vasnetsov brothers (st. Karl Marx, d. 70), Kirov puppet them. Afanasyev and Vyatsky Paleontological Museum (Spasskaya St., 22), Vitberg House (Spasskaya St., 41a), Dymkovo Toy Museum (67 Svobody St.), Children's Space Center (Preobrazhenskaya St., 16 ), Pedestrian Spasskaya Street (it houses the Museum of Local History, the Museum of Chocolate History Criollo, the Museum of History of Ice Cream Artiko, the IEC at Spasskaya, as well as the sculpture “Meeting Place” and the car ITALA, dedicated to the Rev. Trifon Vyatsky (at the intersection of Moskovskaya and Lenin streets), the Spassky Cathedral (K Azanskaya, d. 50), Uspensky Trifonov Monastery (Gorbachev St., 4).
