The festival of historical reconstruction "Helga" in 2019 will be held in the format of a multi-century festival.

Reconstructors of military history clubs traditionally set up camp in the homeland of Princess Olga in 2019 for the 10th time already. From year to year, the permanent organizer of the festival, the chairman of the public organization “Bylinas of Ancient Pskov” Vasily Mizgirev tries to make the festival memorable for participants and guests. The festival will be held historical reconstruction, musical performances, fire show and medieval fair. The festival site is traditionally divided into three sectors: reconstruction, history buffs and tourists. Tourist camp will be guarded, with organized parking.

The military-historical festival "Helga" is held on the territory of the Pskov district in a historic site of 4 hectares in Vybuty. The festival is dedicated to our world famous Grand Duchess Olga, the Ruler of the Russian Land in the 10th century. The festival is dedicated to the culture and traditions of Ancient Russia, its inhabitants and its neighbors in the 9-11 centuries - Russ, Slavs, Varangians, the times of formation of the ancient Russian state, both the traditions of everyday life and military customs.

The military-historical festival "Helga" is aimed at patriotic education of the population of the Pskov region, and also conducts activities aimed at preserving and developing the ethnic and cultural diversity of peoples. A characteristic feature of this festival is its strict temporary and territorial localization, which favorably distinguishes it from similar events in our region. Nowhere is there such a place associated with the birth of two equal-to-apostolic personalities - this is Princess Olga and her grandson, Prince Vladimir.
