Siberia has become the cradle of the formation of many peoples living in the territory of the Russian Federation. Central to these processes is Lake Baikal - the cleanest and deepest lake in the world. Numerous peoples of Eurasia venerated and attached sacred significance to these lands. Once in several years, inter-tribal collective prayers are held here. Gradually, prayers were transformed into a universal celebration with song, dance and sporting events. The place of these holidays was Mount Jord, which later gave the name of the holiday "Yordynskie Games".

Today the Yordynian Games are a kind of Olympiad of the peoples of Eurasia. Through public efforts, the festival was revived after years of neglect. The frequency is determined once every two years.

The “Yordynian Games” are not only competitions in national sports, bator competitions, but also beauties, singers and narrators competitions, a festival of traditional circular dance of Eurasian peoples, a scientific-practical conference on ethnocultural themes, as well as a shaman prayer (talagan). The culmination of the holiday is the grand ceremonial circular dance Yokhor around Mount Yehe Yord. To fully cover the hill Yord along the perimeter, you must have at least 700 participants.

The sports part of the program is based mainly on national sports: “Games of Baator (warriors) of the Middle World”, Buryat national wrestling (buhe-barilydaan), throwing a stone, shooting from the traditional national bow, running around Mount Yrd, mas-wrestling (tugging )
