Competitions have been held since 1997. The development of the competition contributes to the participation of JSC "Russian Mechanics",

which ensures the popularization of domestic snowmobile and ATV technology. Throughout the history of the Competition, winners and prize-winners in all age groups are awarded with cups and valuable prizes, the rest of the participants of the race receive incentive prizes. By tradition, the main prizes of the Competition are snowmobiles. The prize fund also includes spare parts for snowmobiles, audio and video equipment, etc.

Held Competitions are one of the biggest holidays in the sports life of the Nenets Autonomous District. The holiday gathers a large number of spectators and fans, the competition is attended by about 5,000 residents and guests of the district and the city of Naryan-Mar.

Famous people of our country, high-ranking officials, heads of major oil companies, including the initiator and inspirer of the Competition, Hero of the Soviet Union, Hero of the Russian Federation, A. Chilingarov, attend the holiday.

In 2019, it is planned to hold an interregional rally in the following directions: Arkhangelsk Region - Nenets Autonomous Okrug, R. Komi - Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
