Traditional Sami games with an expanded program will be held in early June in the Murmansk region

The Sami Games became the hallmark of the Lovozersky District and an integral part of its cultural life. For the first time the holiday was held in 1985, since then it has been held annually. The program includes a concert of folk groups, competitions in national sports: throwing the lasso on the horns, shooting from a crossbow, jogging with a stick, rowing on a rowing boat, a Saami football tournament. During the games for the guests, there is an exhibition of arts and crafts "City of Masters". The main purpose of the event: the preservation and development of the original traditions and customs of the indigenous people - the Sami.
