Ile-Balkhash regatta is an annually conducted water tourism event on the Ile River in the Tamgalytas tract.

One of the main objectives of the regatta is to preserve the natural diversity of the Ili-Balkhash ecosystem, to attract neighboring state and social attention to the problems of transboundary rivers and reservoir’s water using, and also to attract people to healthy and active recreation, to flora and fauna preservation.
