The oldest kite festival in Russia, held since 2003 in spring and autumn. The purpose of the festival is to popularize the culture of kites, outdoor activities, creating a platform for joint creativity and exchange of experience.
The festival is organized by the Prokite kite club. At different times, kite lovers from different cities of Russia, as well as from France, became participants in the festival.
The festival is a winner in the nomination "Best Event for Children 2016" from the KudaGo portal award. Photos from the festival have repeatedly become photographs of the week at the choice of TASS, Nezavisimaya Gazeta, Evening Moscow and other media. It is covered by city and federal television channels.
In the program of the festival:
- the sky, decorated with airy beauties;
- wind garden (ground installations: fluttering flags and ribbons);
- a master class in the manufacture of kites for children large and small;
- Fights on Rokkaku, traditional Japanese war snakes, in which everyone can take part;
- Demonstrations on sports snakes.
