Since 2012, the International Military Music Festival Amur Waves has been held in Khabarovsk to preserve, popularize and promote brass music, the exchange of experience between musicians to enhance their professional skills. The geography of the festival participants is huge, each year their teams from Moscow to the Kamchatka region demonstrate their art. In addition to the best brass bands of the Russian Federation, guests from foreign countries take part in the festival. During the entire existence of the festival, musical groups from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, the Republic of Kazakhstan, Singapore, Mongolia, the People’s Republic of China, orchestra of Celtic bagpipes and drums (European Union) and others took part in it.
